Alice Longyu Gao has been one of my favorite voices in the music scene for quite some while, creating underground hits such as “BURN THE WITCH” and “LEGEND.” You may know them best for writing the song “Gnarly,” which was performed by K-pop girl group KATSEYE and amassed over 250,000,000 streams.

I was over the moon when Alice came to me to help design and creative direct the rollout for their newest mini-album, Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry. The identity of the project revolves around the symbol of a fountain, which represent’s ALG’s creative heart. Considering the title of the album, I worked heavily with ASCII text to form images and text out of unicode symbols.

I also modeled 3D symbols representing each track in Blender, which were used both for promotional content and official audio videos.
